Waxing is a semi-permanent method of removing hair from its root, lasting from two to eight weeks. A thin layer of a special wax mixture is spread over the area of skin to be treated, and the hairs are removed by pressing strips of cloth over the wax and pulling off quickly. In this course, we will cover all aspects of safe removal of hair by waxing, including type, anatomy and physiology of hair, wax application and removal from a variety of body areas. Additionally, health and safety and business considerations will be discussed.
